Fitaco expands into NYC
With over a million active customers in the West, the company now expands its operations into the nation’s largest market.
Palo Alto, CA: Fitaco today announced expansion into New York City. This milestone is a major move for Fitaco on its mission to bring healthy fast food to everyone.
“This is a very exciting milestone for us,” says Bret Waters, the founder of the company. “We started two years ago with a simple premise – fast food doesn’t have to be unhealthy. Over a million customers in the Western states are now enjoying Fitaco meals that are convenient, delicious, and healthy. We are beyond excited to now be bringing our taco trucks into the nation’s largest city”.
This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the company, including:
- Certification by the American Heart Association of the Fitaco menu.
- Over 500 independent operators are now running their own business, offering the Fitaco menu in their own communities nationwide.
- The establishment of an advisory board consisting of leading nutritionists and physicians.
Fitaco’s rise from one truck in Palo Alto to a profitable operation across the country has been remarkable. “Our family has subscribed to having 3 meals a week delivered”, says Nancy Jones of Burlingame, CA. “I’m a busy mom, and I love the convenience of fast food my kids love and is good for them”
Bridget Blanchard of Denver, CO says “The funny thing is that I became a Fitaco customer because my pediatrician mentioned it to me when we were having a discussion about healthy fast food for my kids”.
Sam Gates, of Los Angeles says “I’m working full-time while training for a triathlon. I just honestly don’t have time to cook, but I’m also on a strict healthy diet. Fitaco solves this problem for me”.
Fitaco’s NYC operations will begin on April 1 in lower Manhattan, and be available across all five boroughs by the end of the year.
About Fitaco: The leading provider of tacos that keep you fit, the company provides both on-demand and subscription services in 52 metropolitan areas across the US. Founded in early 2024, the company is backed by leading investors and is B-Corp certified.
